Music — Mynus_grey

I’m an independent hip-hop artist known as Mynus_grey. I’ve written and recorded four solo albums to date, along with dozens of singles. I’m a member of the New York-based Mixxy Gods and Manhattan Surf Team collectives. I often perform live in Brooklyn — come see me at my next show!

Painting

I paint acrylic abstracts on 16×20″ and 18×18″ canvas. I began painting in Central Park as a way to unwind after class. I like to incorporate elements from nature: leaves or grass from the park pressed into the wet paint.

Digital

I render fractal animations in UltraFractal 6. The upper parameter plane shows the Mandelbrot set, an infinitely repeating pattern as one walks along the real axis approaching the Feigenbaum point. The lower plane shows the corresponding Julia sets, which continually bifurcate as the dynamics approach the 2-adic integers in the limit.
